Update

So there have been many things that have gone on this summer. Belle, as usual went to summer camp at Singleton Commnity Center, but the biggest high-light for her was one of her birthday presents from Pawpaw and CJ. She was abel to go to summer camp at Lakeshore Methodist Assembly in Camden, TN. Ben and I had been there many times as kids and Belle would benefit greatly from this trip. She had a blast. As it was her first sleep over camp and was gone for a week, I expected a very traumatized child when I picked her up. She was the total opposite. She had tales of fun and glory and love and smiles. She made some great friends, as well as strengthened the friendships that she had with a few of the kids from our church that were in her cabin, which totally hilarious, both Ben and I stayed in at different times in our childhood.

She made friends with lots of the other campers as well as the councelors and it took us about half an hour to get her out of there with all of the goodbyes. She talked for the entire first hour of the ride home and then passed out on the rest of the way. She had so much fun and asked if she could go back again next year. Great Job PawPaw and CJ... Wonderful Gift!!!

Another change in our lives is that Belle is now attending private school. She goes to FACS now and is doing great. She has made some good friends and had some great teachers. She is also cheerleading for the 5th and 6th Grade Football teams. I will post some of those pictures as soon as I can. She had thier Jamboree the other day and boy was it hot, but that didn't stop my girl from cheering those boys on. She knew not only what was going on with her duties as a cheerleader but she was very aware of what was happening in the field and cheered her little heart out when FACS scored thier first touchdown and beat SBEC 8-0. GO CRUSADERS GO!!!

I am about to start my Senior Year at the University of Memphis. I am excited and a little aprehensive about what the future holds, but am very ready to be the holder of that special degree.

I can't thank my family enough for the support and love that they give Belle and I on a daily basis. I thank God every day for those that he has put in my life. I love my family stronger than anything in the world.

Belle's 10th Birthday

Belle turned 10 in March. Here are some major pics from that party time.... We had a skating party at Cordova Skating Rink and a family dinner at our apartments. We moved in January and there are some pics of the place mixed in. Enjoy checking out the pics from Belle's double digit milestone. She is getting so big and so grown up. Ben and Emily came in town for the weekend of festivities. Lots of Fun!!! Cher made Belle's birthday cake. Scrumptious and awesome.

2008 Jenkins Family Reunion

We had our 2nd Annual Jenkins Family Reunion in October. We kind of had a lock in at the Homestead in Lakeland and spent the weekend together. Eating and drinking and having a ton of fun. We spent Friday night cooking a huge Mexican dinner and waiting for Ben and Emily's flight to get in. Saturday, after a late night arrival of the DC'ers, Belle woke them up with a loud and slightly off key version of " Rise and Shine" to which you heard an muffled..." oh my goodness"...We spent the day hanging out and cooking and eating and just spending time together. Saturday afternoon we had a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Although there was not really a contest, I would have to say that The Bork Pumpkin would have won for traditional pumpkin carving rules. the Jenkins Pumpkin would get the most ridiculous pumpkin...since Ben tried to woodglue the ears onto the side of the pumpkin...HILARIOUS....the Pirtle Pumpkin would have won scariest pumpkin in halloween history. Hudson wouldn't have anything to do with it..I think his words were " Belle Pumpkin Scary." We cooked out steaks later that night and just spent the night and evening together. It was a wonderful evening with many amusing points throughout the night. Sunday we got up and had breakfast and took the 2008 Family Picture. Belle and I went fishing and spent some quiet time together...having a blast and we wish that it could have never ended...it was a WONDERFUL weekend and we love our family and cannot wait until next year. God Bless us for such a wonderful family that is full of love and support, kindness and acceptance, patience and faith

University of Memphis Football

One of the most important things to us in the fall is spending time with Dad and Carolyn at the football games. Belle cheers so hard and loves going to the games. I love spending time with Dad and CJ and watching the game with them. Belle spends time with the other kids that sit with us also. Here is a picture of Belle and I at one of the games. This game was on ESPN and the minute we got to our seats they did a sweep of our section. Belle thought she was SO cool because she was on TV!

Our House

Belle and I moved into our house in June. I know that these pics are a little over due, but here they are. We love the house and the neighborhood. Belle has lots of friends that she plays with and loves riding her bike all the time.
I have a horse themed kitchen, a Memphis themed living room, a family themed dining room and entryhall and a New York Themed bedroom. Belle's room is going to be horses.
